MSCI, a global leader in investment decision support tools, is hiring a skilled Data Engineer to design and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes using PySpark and Databricks. Join a team that powers sustainable investing through innovative technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows with PySpark and Databricks
• Optimize large dataset performance through partitioning, indexing, and Spark tuning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and solve technical challenges
• Ensure data quality with validation and cleansing processes
• Analyze and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database routines
• Participate in data migration projects leveraging Delta Lake and data warehouse technologies
• Debug complex data pipeline issues and implement robust solutions

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Strong knowledge of distributed data platforms like Databricks and BigQuery
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL programming
• Experience in performance tuning for large datasets
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills
