Job Overview:

Motorola Solutions, a leader in critical communications and public safety technologies, is hiring a Software Engineer to join their Cloud Platform Engineering team. You will work on developing and maintaining observability systems that ensure efficient operations of cloud infrastructure and platform services for public safety SaaS solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and improve observability tools using Elastic and Prometheus.
• Support cloud infrastructure for public and hybrid cloud-based SaaS solutions.
• Implement and monitor high-scale, efficient, and reliable cloud systems.
• Collaborate with teams to enhance platform performance, scalability, and security.
• Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Use scripting languages like Python, Bash, or NodeJS for automation and system operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues.

Candidate Profile:

• 1+ year of professional experience with Elastic, Prometheus, and observability tools.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and infrastructure.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, NodeJS).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container-based architectures.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• High level of curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

• Knowledge of security best practices.
• Experience in performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Certifications in observability tools (Elastic, Prometheus).
