The Role

As an Associate SRE/DevOps Engineer, you'll manage automation, uptime, performance, and emergency response for Morningstar Direct. You'll work cross-functionally to support SLIs/SLOs and improve infrastructure and operations.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience
• 1–2 years of relevant experience

---

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and support production systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Drive continuous improvement
• Develop alerting and reporting tools
• Implement chaos engineering and application hardening
• Use tools to assess performance and capacity
• Define and meet SLIs and SLOs
• Deploy products and provide infrastructure support
• Collaborate across teams and be part of on-call rotation

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of CI/CD practices
• Understanding of cloud technologies and IT systems
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Exposure to tools like Jenkins, CodePipeline, CodeBuild
• Basic monitoring and incident response knowledge
• Good communication and problem-solving skills

---

Bonus Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, etc.
• Programming knowledge (Python, Java, PowerShell, etc.)
• AWS experience and Windows system administration
