Role Summary

As a Software Engineer I – Java Developer, you will help shape Mastercard's Consumer Data Management services. You will work with talented engineers to build high-performance, low-latency, scalable Java services that power secure and smart global transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Java-based microservices with focus on performance and scalability
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Technical Leads, and Agile teams to define features
• Participate in Agile SCRUM sprints, handling tasks and resolving technical challenges
• Conduct code reviews, testing, and prototyping
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and production-ready deployments

Skills & Qualifications

✅ Strong programming in Java, with JUnit testing
✅ Experience with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
✅ Exposure to SQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB, PostgresDB, Redis
✅ Understanding of CI/CD tools – Maven, Jenkins, Chef
✅ Familiarity with cloud platforms (PCF, AWS preferred)
✅ Knowledge of test frameworks: BDD/ATDD, Cucumber, Spock
✅ Bonus: Frontend exposure (React), Monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace)
✅ Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
