Job Description:

Mafiree is looking for a MySQL Database Engineer to manage database replication, clustering, performance tuning, and monitoring. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to work in a 24x7 environment. Occasional travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Manage and maintain MySQL databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
✔ Setup and administer MySQL replication (Master-Slave & Master-Master).
✔ Optimize and tune database performance for improved efficiency.
✔ Monitor databases proactively to prevent downtime and performance issues.
✔ Perform database sizing and capacity planning.
✔ Work on database clustering solutions for enhanced reliability.
✔ Write and maintain scripts using PHP, Perl, or Bash for automation.
✔ Provide 24/7 support, including weekends and holidays.
✔ Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure database best practices.

Required Skills:

🔹 0-5 years of MySQL experience.
🔹 Strong expertise in MySQL Replication & Clustering.
🔹 Proficient in performance tuning & query optimization.
🔹 Experience with PHP, Perl, and Bash scripting.
🔹 Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
🔹 Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
🔹 Good oral and written communication skills.
🔹 MySQL Certification is a plus.
