Job Description
LeewayHertz is looking for an experienced IT SecOps Engineer to enhance our security operations. This role involves managing security tools, responding to incidents, conducting assessments, and ensuring compliance with security standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage security tools to detect and address threats.
• Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Conduct vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
• Optimize firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to design secure system architectures.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity threats and implement necessary defenses.
• Prepare incident reports and security performance metrics.
• Conduct security awareness training for employees.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with security tools like Splunk, Palo Alto, or CrowdStrike.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with security testing tools for APIs, databases, and AI algorithms.
• Knowledge of IT security operations, risk management, and SIEM tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills, business acumen, and mentoring ability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in IT security operations.
