Job Role: Intern – Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

LeadSquared is looking for passionate individuals eager to start their careers in Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). As an SRE Intern, you’ll work closely with senior cloud engineers to ensure system reliability, uptime, and performance optimization across a 100% AWS-hosted global infrastructure.

This internship offers real-world exposure to high-availability systems, automation tools, and cloud operations — preparing you for global DevOps and Cloud Engineer careers in top-paying markets.

Key Responsibilities

As an SRE Intern, your key duties will include:

• Monitoring and improving AWS cloud infrastructure performance and uptime.
• Handling incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and system recovery.
• Collaborating with DevOps, InfoSec, and Development teams to enhance scalability and reliability.
• Working with observability tools such as NewRelic, Grafana, Loggly, PagerDuty, Kibana, and Site24x7.
• Managing cloud components including AWS RDS, ECS, EC2, Lambda, Redis, API Gateway, and SQS.
• Strengthening monitoring, alerting, and cloud automation pipelines.
• Supporting proactive improvements for SaaS infrastructure security and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent field.
• Basic understanding of AWS Cloud Services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, SQS, Redis, Elasticsearch).
• Familiarity with Linux environments, cloud monitoring, and system troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Python or Shell scripting preferred.
• Awareness of ITIL processes, DevOps principles, and cloud automation.
• AWS or ITIL certification is a plus.
