📝 Job Description

Position: Technical Support Engineer – Datacenter Switching
Location: Bengaluru

🗂️ Summary

This position is for L1 TAC (Technical Assistance Center) supporting Juniper’s Campus & Data-Center products (EX, QFX & QFabric) and technologies.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Work in a highly dynamic TAC environment with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• Quickly determine and resolve problems and deliver a remarkable customer experience.
• Act as a customer advocate and ensure timely resolution of reported issues.
• Understand the customer’s environment/network and business impact of issues.
• Take ownership of problem resolution, reproduction, and escalation.
• Collaborate as a team player, with flexibility for weekend/holiday support.
• Stay updated with newer technologies and fast-paced learning.

🛠️ Mandatory Skills

• Support for Juniper’s Campus & Data-Center products (EX, QFX & QFabric).
• Excellent communication (verbal & written), presentation, and customer-handling skills.
• Strong logical troubleshooting capabilities for complex and high-impact issues.
• Experience supporting critical network infrastructures for Enterprise/Telecom/Cloud customers.

Technical Knowledge:

• Switching Technologies: xSTP, VRRP, LACP, Dot1x, CoS, QoS
• IP Protocols: ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP
• Routing Protocols: BGP, OSPF, RIP
• Multicast Protocols (Plus): IGMP, IGMP-snooping, PIM
• Scripting Skills (Plus): Python, Perl, Shell (bash, ksh, csh)

🎓 Requirements

• B.E. in Electronics Engineering/Computer Science
• 1-3 years of experience in supporting/designing/implementing IP networks
• Extensive troubleshooting, implementation, and support of large IP networks

Platform Knowledge (Good to Have):

• Juniper (Routers, Switches)
• Cisco, Nortel, Huawei
• Traffic Generators/Simulators: Ixia, Agilent
• Protocol Analyzers & Testers

📜 Preferred Certifications

• Juniper: JNCIA, JNCIS-M, JNCIP-M, JNCIE-M
• Cisco: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE
• Service Provider: CCIE-SP
