Job Description

Juniper Networks is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join the Technical Assistance Centre (TAC) team for supporting Juniper’s Campus & Data-Center products (EX, QFX & QFabric). This position involves troubleshooting complex problems and ensuring exceptional customer service in a highly dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in the TAC environment with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• Identify and resolve problems quickly while delivering a remarkable customer experience.
• Act as a customer advocate for timely issue resolution, understanding the network's impact on business.
• Take ownership of problem resolution, reproduction, and escalation.
• Be a team player, flexible to work on weekends/holidays as per business requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with newer technologies and continuously learn.

Mandatory Skills

• Support for Juniper’s Campus & Data-Center products (EX, QFX, QFabric).
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and customer handling skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex and high-impact problems.
• Technical support experience in supporting critical network infrastructures for Enterprise/Telecom or Cloud customers.
• In-depth knowledge of:
  • Switching Technologies (xSTP, VRRP, LACP, Dot1x, COS, QOS)
  • IP protocols (ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP)
  • IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP)
  • Multicast protocols (IGMP, IGMP-snooping, PIM) would be a plus.
  • Scripting skills (Python, Perl, Shell) as an added advantage.

Requirements

• B.E. in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science.
• 1-3 years of experience in supporting/Designing/Implementing IP networks.
• Experience with Juniper routers, switches, and possibly other platforms like Cisco, Nortel, Huawei.
• Familiarity with traffic generators (Ixia, Agilent) and protocol analysers is beneficial.
• Preferred Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, JNCIA, JNCIS-M, JNCIP-M, JNCIE-M, CCIE-SP.
