Job Description
Kick-start your software engineering career with JPMorgan Chase as a Software Engineer I within the Consumer and Community Banking Technology team.
You’ll join an agile team working to enhance and deliver secure, scalable, and innovative software solutions for millions of customers.
Responsibilities
- Execute basic software design, development, and technical troubleshooting tasks
- Write secure, high-quality code with guidance, using at least one programming language
- Interpret software design and non-functional requirements to develop reliable solutions
- Apply automation throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
- Address basic code quality issues and support continuous improvements
- Gather and analyze data for insights and issue resolution
- Work in collaborative, inclusive, and respectful team environments
Required Skills
- 1+ years of applied experience OR formal training in Software Engineering concepts
- Basic knowledge in one or more domains (cloud, AI, Android, etc.)
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams
- Proficiency in at least one programming language
- Familiarity with development tools and basic industry best practices
- Basic software development, maintenance, and analysis skills
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
