About the Role

The Junior DevOps Engineer will assist in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management under the guidance of senior engineers. This role is ideal for early-career professionals eager to gain experience in DevOps automation, CI/CD, and cloud deployment practices across AWS and Azure environments.

You’ll collaborate with global teams, learn enterprise-level DevOps tools, and gain exposure to automation projects supporting secure cloud operations.

Note: This position requires Australian Citizenship and an active security clearance due to the secure nature of the work.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementations using Terraform across AWS and Azure.
• Assist in configuration management tasks using Ansible.
• Contribute to automation and DevOps initiatives across infrastructure environments.
• Support development and maintenance of Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Learn and apply Docker and Kubernetes fundamentals.
• Write Bash scripts for system and automation tasks.
• Maintain technical documentation for solutions implemented.
• Collaborate with senior DevOps engineers on operations and automation practices.
• Provide operational support for deployed applications and systems.

Qualifications & Skills

Required

• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management principles.
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and continuous integration tools.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repositories).
• Experience or theoretical knowledge of Terraform on AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of Ansible and Bash scripting.
• Strong learning mindset, attention to detail, and collaboration skills.
• Must be an Australian citizen with active baseline security clearance.

Preferred

• Exposure to Docker and containerization concepts.
• Interest in learning Kubernetes/OpenShift and HashiCorp Vault.
