Role: Cloud Engineer I – Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Onsite (HPE Office – India)

This position is part of HPE’s Operations team, responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of large-scale cloud applications. The role focuses on automation, monitoring, and cloud platform optimization to support enterprise-level systems running on hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate as part of the 24x7 cloud operations team, managing applications and infrastructure uptime.
• Monitor and remediate cloud alerts to maintain system availability and service reliability.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks to improve operational efficiency and enforce security compliance.
• Perform application patching, vulnerability remediation, and system updates.
• Debug and troubleshoot system and application issues in Kubernetes and Linux environments.
• Collaborate with technical peers and senior engineers to design innovative solutions.
• Analyze incidents and root causes to implement preventive measures.
• Contribute to DevOps processes including CI/CD, deployment pipelines, and configuration management.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
• Master’s Degree preferred but not mandatory.
• Internship experience or 6 months to 3 years of professional experience in a cloud, SRE, or DevOps role.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of Ubuntu Linux administration and Kubernetes (K8s) platforms.
• Exposure to Python, Golang, Ansible, or Terraform for automation and infrastructure management.
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
• Strong debugging, scripting, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of security concepts such as CVE management and patching.

• Knowledge of Cloud Architectures and distributed systems.
• Experience in Microservices, DevOps tools, and Release Management.
• Exposure to Full Stack Development and User Experience (UX) design principles.
