About the Role

HashiCorp is seeking a high-caliber Support Engineer to join our growing Terraform Support Engineering team in Noida, India. This position directly supports our open source and enterprise Terraform offerings and plays a critical role in customer success. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and highly collaborative, with a passion for troubleshooting cloud infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Resolve customer support requests in Zendesk within defined SLAs
• Reproduce and debug complex Terraform-related issues
• Lead customer troubleshooting calls and support installation activities
• Document support activities and improve internal/external documentation
• Participate in weekly product, engineering, and marketing syncs
• Provide root cause analysis and escalate issues appropriately
• Contribute knowledge base articles and best practice documentation
• Participate in periodic on-call rotations and scheduled days off

Requirements

• 4+ years experience in Support Engineering, System Administration, or Software Development
• Deep understanding of Open Source and SaaS environments
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
• Strong Linux/Windows command line expertise
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with networking, cloud adoption, and infrastructure-as-code
• Bonus: experience building tooling, scripts, or automation frameworks

Goals & Expectations

30 Days:

• Apply basic Terraform (TF) configuration in Terraform Enterprise (TFE)
• Understand the TFE ecosystem and perform L1 support tasks
• Contribute to install guides or documentation

60 Days:

• Handle Level 1 & 2 support independently
• Provision (P)TFE instances and assist live installs
• Deploy infrastructure using Terraform on AWS, Azure, GCP
• Write a customer-facing knowledge base article

90 Days:

• Handle production-down issues independently
• Lead live installs and log analysis
• Implement small bug fixes and enhancements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience
