Job Description

Grid Dynamics is hiring an experienced IT Support Engineer to support and optimize complex IT environments. This is a hands-on technical role with significant impact, offering an opportunity to collaborate across departments and deliver enterprise-grade support for internal systems, networks, hardware, and software.


Key Responsibilities

Advanced Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide advanced technical support via phone, email, remote tools, or in-person
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues (laptops, desktops, printers, mobile, servers)
  • Resolve complex software, OS (Windows, macOS, Linux), and network connectivity issues
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive solutions

System Administration & Maintenance

  • Administer user accounts, groups, and access using Active Directory, Azure AD, and Google Workspace
  • Manage and support Microsoft 365, Zoom, and other enterprise applications
  • Troubleshoot network devices: routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points
  • Handle AV setup, device provisioning, and IT asset lifecycle management

Process Optimization & Documentation

  • Improve IT support processes, document workflows, and write knowledge base articles
  • Create IT policies, SOPs, and compliance checklists
  • Use ITSM tools like Jira Service Desk for ticketing and performance tracking

Project Involvement & Collaboration

  • Participate in software rollouts, hardware refresh cycles, office moves, and infrastructure upgrades
  • Collaborate with security, network, and systems teams
  • Train new employees and promote IT best practices

Security & Compliance

  • Enforce cybersecurity policies (patching, antivirus, phishing awareness)
  • Maintain asset inventory and compliance with data protection policies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in CS, IT, or relevant discipline (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • Minimum 5 years in Tier 2/3 IT Support, Desktop, or Helpdesk roles
  • Strong experience with:
    • Windows 10/11, macOS (minimum 2 years with Mac support)
    • Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace
    • Active Directory, Azure AD
    • Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Wi-Fi)
    • Remote support tools (e.g., AnyDesk, TeamViewer)
  • Bonus Skills:
    • PowerShell, Python for automation
    • ITSM tools like ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk
    • Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft 365 Certified
