Job Summary

GE HealthCare is hiring a Staff DevOps Engineer to design, manage, and optimize highly complex CI/CD pipelines, build strategies, and parallel releases for large-scale software products. This role requires deep expertise in concurrent software development, build management, automation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage and improve the release process with a focus on scalability and efficiency.
  • Own builds, releases, and continuous integration processes across concurrent releases.
  • Develop and enhance test infrastructure and CI frameworks.
  • Execute automated builds and scripts, driving DevOps process improvements.
  • Implement standards and processes to ensure CI/CD pipeline quality and stability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align deliverables.
  • Research and introduce modern DevOps tools and best practices.
  • Ensure observability, high availability, and reliability of systems both on-premises and cloud.

Education Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math).
  • 10+ years of total experience with at least 6+ years in DevOps roles.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and configuration management.
  • Proficiency in Java and scripting languages (Python, Groovy, Bash, Perl, PowerShell).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Hands-on with Linux/Windows OS, VMware, vCenter.
  • Skilled in Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD, Ansible, Puppet, JFrog Artifactory.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, DevSecOps tools (Twistlock, Blackduck).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Splunk, ELK stack).
  • Strong communication skills, able to present to senior leadership.
  • Healthcare industry exposure is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage complex distributed systems.
  • Skilled in estimating timelines and breaking down tasks.
  • Strong focus on customer-centric technology solutions.
