Job Description

GE HealthCare is hiring a Trainee Engineer to work in its Advanced Visualization Solutions team. This role focuses on improving product quality, reducing internal rejection rates, and ensuring manufacturing line excellence. If you're passionate about manufacturing optimization, quality engineering, and lean principles, this is your opportunity to kickstart a high-paying IT fresher role in healthcare manufacturing.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Monitor and improve product quality related to customer rejections and internal yield losses.
• Track, close, and analyze quality issues from manufacturing lines and customer returns.
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality teams to resolve RMA/RTV and part defects.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA for quality failures.
• Prepare and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production teams.
• Manage equipment calibration by coordinating with external agencies.
• Drive compliance to EHS and quality management systems.
• Define Incoming Quality Control (IQC) acceptance plans.
• Engage with customers for quality feedback and product improvements.
• Participate in Lean, Kaizen, and other process efficiency initiatives.
• Respond to line breakdowns and support preventive maintenance planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated problem-solving and team leadership capabilities
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Quality Tools is a plus
