Position Summary

As a Site Reliability Engineer III at F5, you will apply a software engineering and automated solution mindset to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical systems and SaaS platforms. You'll work across various teams to design, implement, and optimize systems with modern engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Apply modern engineering principles throughout the system lifecycle.
✅ Support and maintain technology systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
✅ Scale systems through automation and refine existing systems to improve velocity.
✅ Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues like system failures and performance bottlenecks.
✅ Partner with cross-functional teams to implement scalable, robust system architecture.
✅ Implement observability and data skills to monitor system performance and diagnose issues.
✅ Apply security best practices to protect systems from cyber threats.
✅ Create and maintain system documentation, troubleshooting guides, and operating procedures.
✅ Participate in on-call rotation.

What You’ll Bring

✔️ A code-first approach to managing cloud and SaaS platforms.
✔️ Expertise in Docker container applications and Kubernetes clusters.
✔️ Proficiency in Agile methodologies, DevOps, and SRE practices.
✔️ Strong capability to support web applications (Tomcat, Apache, NGINX, Node.js).
✔️ Experience with scripting and IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
✔️ Strong proficiency in Azure resource management and Azure DevOps pipelines.
✔️ Expertise in Linux system administration and observability tooling (logging, metrics, tracing).
✔️ Solid grasp of cybersecurity principles and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

🎓 BS/BA or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
💼 5+ years’ experience as a software engineer specializing in site reliability.
💻 Proficiency in Python, Bash, or TypeScript.
🛠️ Hands-on experience with technology systems, protocols, and platforms.
