Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated Junior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of DevOps or system engineering experience to contribute to real-world cloud infrastructure projects. You’ll gain experience in AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, and monitoring solutions, while supporting mission-critical systems in production.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Design and Maintenance

• Assist in the deployment and configuration of infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Help maintain scalable and secure cloud environments on platforms like AWS.
• Support environment provisioning for development, staging, and production.
• Contribute to infrastructure components such as logging, alerting, and service mesh systems.

CI/CD Pipeline Automation

• Collaborate with developers to streamline build, test, and release processes.
• Help maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Argo CD.
• Eliminate manual steps in deployment by promoting automation-first practices.

Monitoring and Observability

• Assist in maintaining observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack, or similar.
• Monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) for critical applications.
• Participate in debugging and resolving reliability issues in production systems.
• Support post-incident reviews and ongoing system health improvements.

Documentation and Collaboration

• Create and maintain documentation for deployment workflows, environment configuration, and incident runbooks.
• Participate in cross-team knowledge-sharing sessions and sprint planning meetings.
• Contribute to onboarding documentation for new engineers joining the team.

On-call and Operational Readiness

• Participate in on-call rotations with guidance from senior SREs.
• Ensure operational readiness of applications by validating health checks, log configuration, and alerting coverage.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and engineering teams to ensure high uptime and reliability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 1–2 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or SRE roles.
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and basic cloud architecture principles.
• Familiarity with container technologies like Docker; knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Bash or Python.
• Good understanding of monitoring, alerting, and log aggregation tools.
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native tooling.
• Exposure to on-call support processes or incident management tools.
• Experience working in agile, DevOps-driven environments.
