Roles & Responsibilities

As an Associate Engineer, your key responsibilities include:

• Handling all aspects of the SDLC, including analysis, design, development, testing, support, and optimization.
• Coaching and guiding engineers, fostering a quality-focused mindset.
• Driving fit-for-purpose solutions with a focus on high technical quality and proactive defect prevention.
• Uplifting test automation maturity within the squad for faster feedback.
• Collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality outcomes within timeframes.
• Following secure coding practices to ensure security and quality.
• Proactively identifying, understanding, and discussing risks.

Essential Skills

• 2-4 years of experience in software development with expertise in:
  • Java and J2EE
  • REST and API Development
  • Spring Framework
  • Front-end web development (Angular preferred for full-stack roles)
• Experience with the following tools:
  • IDEs: Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ
  • NodeJS and NPM (for Full-stack)
  • Automated testing frameworks: JUnit, Selenium, Jest, Cypress
  • Source control: Git
  • Build & deployment tools: TeamCity, Octopus Deploy
  • Monitoring tools: Splunk, AppDynamics, Checkmarx
  • Databases: Oracle, MySQL, etc.
• Awareness of software development concepts:
  • CI/CD and DevOps
  • TDD and BOD
  • Microservices architecture
  • Secure coding practices
  • Design patterns

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
