Job Description:
Join Cloudera’s Internal Cloud Platform team as a Software Engineer II - DevOps and be part of a cutting-edge environment building and managing hybrid cloud infrastructure using CNCF open-source technologies like Kubernetes and KubeVirt. You will contribute to cloud cost management optimization, automate infrastructure provisioning, and enhance operational efficiency with an automation-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize multi-tenant Kubernetes and hybrid compute cloud environments
• Build and support cloud-native infrastructure with Kubernetes, Crossplane, and other CNCF tools
• Develop and improve cloud cost management tools
• Automate provisioning and infrastructure management using tools such as Ansible and SaltStack
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident management including root cause analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build resilient, scalable services
• Maintain high uptime and operational quality for internal customers

Required Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years in Software Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud roles
• Solid understanding of Linux OS and TCP/IP networking fundamentals
• Intermediate Python programming; Go language is a plus
• Experience with container networking and Kubernetes architecture
• Familiarity with web servers, load balancers, databases, messaging systems, and storage solutions
• Experience with version control (Git, Subversion) and configuration management tools (Ansible, SaltStack)
• Knowledge of modern CI/CD methodologies and public cloud providers
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, documentation, and communication skills
• Passionate about open-source technologies and continuous learning
