Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our IT Technical Operations team. This individual will be responsible for the design, planning, implementation, and performance tuning of mission-critical enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day management of Linux compute environments and infrastructure
• Automate and improve operations in both public cloud and on-prem data centers
• Develop new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts, and testing procedures
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation to ensure uptime of mission-critical applications
• Create and maintain documentation for security and compliance audits
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SRE, Security, Engineering) on optimal solutions
• Troubleshoot and lead problem-solving efforts with outside vendors
• Ensure the integrity and security of data/systems, focusing on continuous improvement
• Maintain high availability and performance of mission-critical services

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Extensive experience with RHEL-based GNU/Linux systems, and tools such as Git, Puppet, pip
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and databases
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash shell
• Operational experience with Django, HTML, and CSS
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins
• Production experience with HAProxy and Nginx load balancing
• Operational experience with AWS (EC2, S3, ELB/ALBs, Route53, etc.)

Nice-to-Haves:

• Understanding of cryptography, SSL, PKI
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking
• Red Hat or Amazon certifications
• Experience with Docker and OpenStack
