As a Cloud Engineer at Cisco, you will contribute to developing scalable cloud applications, microservices, and DevOps automation pipelines, while working with the latest cloud-native technologies.

What You’ll Do

• Build customer care solutions delivering connectivity, automation, and rich digital experiences.
• Develop microservices using Java/Scala with Kafka messaging streams.
• Deliver high-quality, high-value software with a focus on continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
• Take ownership of your code from design to production release.
• Troubleshoot and debug failures using observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Create and maintain automated validation tools to ensure performance and scalability.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that guarantee reliability and efficiency across the full software lifecycle.

Who You’ll Work With

• Collaborate with Architects and Engineers across Cisco’s global teams.
• Partner with Engineering Management to define cloud technology strategies.
• Support Customer Success and Technical Assistance teams to resolve high-priority customer issues.

Who You Are

• 0–2 years of experience in cloud application development.
• Proficiency in Java/Scala and working with pub-sub platforms (preferably Kafka).
• Strong background in object-oriented and functional programming.
• Skilled at problem-solving, debugging, and building low-latency cloud applications.
• Exposure to databases with knowledge of query optimization.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker is a plus.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
