Job Overview – DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer at Barclays, you’ll lead the transformation of our digital infrastructure, ensuring smooth deployments, secure architecture, and scalable automation. You’ll also support strategic technology projects in the Corporate Digital Banking unit.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end delivery of location strategy projects to budget and quality
• Build and maintain data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses
• Develop deployment and release processes within ITIL framework
• Drive innovation in infrastructure automation using Terraform, Chef, and AWS
• Collaborate with data scientists to deploy machine learning models
• Ensure risk management and compliance with policies and controls
• Lead and supervise technical teams (if applicable)

🧠 Required Skills & Experience

• Application/Technical Support experience
• Strong knowledge in UNIX/Linux/Windows systems
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Chef, Terraform
• Familiarity with release, change, and deployment management
• Exposure to CI/CD tools and automated infrastructure provisioning
• Problem-solving skills with attention to detail
