Position Summary

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will deploy, manage, and optimize cloud-based infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, GitOps/ArgoCD, CI/CD, and GitLab. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient deployment, high availability, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and scaling using Terraform.
2. Create Terraform modules for new GCP resources.
3. Deploy, configure, and maintain containerized applications and microservices on GCP compute engines.
4. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
5. Implement GitOps practices using ArgoCD for declarative, automated deployment and management.
6. Integrate GitLab and other version control tools into the CI/CD workflow.
7. Monitor and optimize cloud services for performance, availability, and scalability.
8. Participate in on-call rotations for 24/7 support and troubleshooting of critical infrastructure incidents.
9. Configure and set up monitoring for infrastructure resources.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure management, preferably with GCP.
• Expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools, especially GitLab CI/CD, with knowledge of GitOps and ArgoCD.
• Familiarity with Linux systems and networking.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team.

Education and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Typically requires 6-10 years of experience with the skills outlined above.
