Job Description

AMETEK is hiring experienced Software Engineers to join its Telular business unit in Bangalore. This is a core development role involving microservices, REST API architecture, cloud-native development, and working on high-performance IoT datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable Java-based microservices and applications
• Design and implement REST APIs using Spring Boot Framework
• Work with ORM tools like Hibernate/JPA for efficient database interaction
• Write optimized SQL queries and models using PostgreSQL
• Work with Kafka or similar event streaming tools in an event-driven architecture
• Perform unit testing using JUnit and participate in debugging and optimization
• Ensure security best practices using OWASP standards
• Work in cloud-based environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices
• Handle data serialization with Google Protobuf and Avro formats

Required Skills and Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3–5 years of software development experience
• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Kafka, GitHub
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful design
• Familiarity with containerization, CI/CD, and version control systems
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong debugging, testing, and performance optimization experience
