Role Overview – Cloud DevOps Engineer
Alstom is hiring a Cloud DevOps Engineer to manage and enhance the end-to-end DevOps lifecycle of cloud-based and on-premise platforms. This role involves close collaboration with IoT specialists, data engineers, data scientists, and software developers to ensure secure, scalable, and automated deployments across environments.
This is a high-impact role focused on cloud strategy, CI/CD automation, container orchestration, and release management in a mission-critical domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless code integration and deployment
- Optimize release management processes and automate deployment environments
- Define and manage cloud strategy using Microsoft Azure and on-premise infrastructure
- Standardize software development and DevOps release processes across teams
- Deploy, manage, and guide best practices for container-based applications
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes for scalable cloud-native solutions
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to internal users
- Write and maintain technical documentation and DevOps standards
- Collaborate with international engineering, data, and IoT teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in DevOps engineering
- Expertise in Azure cloud provisioning, deployment, and monitoring
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible
- Scripting skills: Python, Bash, PowerShell
- Containerization using Docker and Kubernetes (CKA certification is an advantage)
- CI/CD tools and workflows
- Source control and configuration management using Git and GitLab
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Visual Studio Code
- Understanding of platform and cloud security best practices
