What You Will Do

• Operate and support cloud infrastructure hosted on AWS (EC2, S3, networking, security).
• Support deployments across staging and production environments.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Configure and manage containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Support customer-facing EHR integrations.
• Configure VPN tunnels and troubleshoot networking issues.
• SFTP configuration (AWS Transfer Family).
• Assist in Mirth-to-IRIS migrations (training provided).
• Participate in incident detection, diagnosis, resolution, and post-mortem processes.
• Monitor systems and respond to alerts using observability tools like New Relic, Wavefront.
• Collaborate closely with software engineering, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation with a global team.
• Ensure all infrastructure activities comply with HIPAA and GDPR regulations.

Must Haves

• 3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
• Experience working with AWS-based infrastructure and related services.
• Strong understanding of VPN tunneling, SFTP configuration, and basic networking.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, GitLab pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within distributed teams.
• Proactive mindset with a sense of ownership and accountability.
• Comfortable participating in incident response and alerting systems.
• Willingness to collaborate with customer IT contacts for EHR integration tasks.
• Solid foundation and willingness to grow in technical depth.
• Panama schedule (8-hour shifts daily), with on-call duties 2-3 days/week (including alternate weekends).
• Upper-intermediate English level.

• Familiarity with Mirth and IRIS (standard EHR platforms).
• Experience with tools like Bitbucket, Codefresh, or Ansible.
• Background in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
• Exposure to infrastructure security best practices.
