Job Overview

As a Software Development Engineer I (SDE1) in our Risk & Data Science team, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining scalable data infrastructure. Your work will contribute directly to the success of our credit line products. You will focus on data engineering, utilizing AWS services, and analytical skills to design and manage our data systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Understanding and Modelling: Investigate structured and unstructured data sources, designing common/master data models.
• Architectural Design and Implementation: Collaborate with leadership to implement data engineering architecture ensuring scalability and reliability.
• ETL Development: Lead the development of a data lake, ingesting data from various sources and building scalable ETL pipelines.
• Mission-Critical Systems Development: Design systems for high availability and performance, meeting critical business needs.
• Data Security and Infrastructure Ownership: Own and manage data security protocols while forecasting infrastructure needs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with business needs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in data engineering and Python development.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, RDBMS, NoSQL databases.
• Experience with AWS services (S3, Athena, AWS Glue) and data formats (Parquet, JSON, XML).
• Knowledge of BI tools is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent communication abilities.
