Team – Developer Productivity

The Developer Productivity team at Zipline enables engineers to deliver reliable software faster by maintaining internal tools, pipelines, and workflows for the autonomy, firmware, avionics, and flight software teams. This team directly impacts the speed, safety, and reliability of Zipline’s autonomous delivery drones.


Role – DevOps Engineer Intern

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for internal engineering teams
  • Build internal tools, such as dashboards or automation bots, to enhance developer workflows
  • Collaborate with engineers to define and deliver features improving developer experience
  • Improve the speed and reliability of automated testing and builds
  • Participate in real-world debugging, understanding large-scale engineering systems
  • Learn how infrastructure supports autonomous aircraft development

What You’ll Bring

  • Current enrollment in BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
  • Strong programming experience in Rust, Python, Go, C++, or similar
  • Familiarity with software development tools: bazel, git, CI/CD systems, build tools, etc.
  • Problem-solving mindset with curiosity for end-to-end system understanding
  • Strong communication skills and eagerness to collaborate across disciplines
  • Availability to work full-time onsite during the internship season
