Overview

Zil Money is hiring a Junior AWS Engineer (US Shift) for its cloud operations team in Manjeri, Kerala, India.
This role is ideal for candidates with 1–3 years of AWS/Cloud/DevOps experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage critical cloud infrastructure during US working hours (night shift).

You will be responsible for monitoring, managing, and optimizing AWS resources, resolving incidents, and supporting cloud automation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage AWS services:
  EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Lambda.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and resolve incidents quickly to minimize downtime.
• Configure, manage, and optimize EC2 instances and RDS databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora).
• Manage IAM users, roles, and policies for secure access control.
• Configure S3 buckets, access policies, and assist with CloudFront distribution setup.
• Manage Route 53 DNS records, health checks, and failover configurations.
• Set up and maintain VPCs, subnets, routing, ACLs, and network security.
• Utilize CloudWatch and CloudTrail for logging, monitoring, alerts, and auditing.
• Configure and maintain Elastic Load Balancers (ALB/NLB).
• Support containerized workloads using Docker and orchestration with ECS/EKS.
• Use Terraform for cloud resource provisioning and infrastructure automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience with AWS cloud services in a DevOps/Cloud role.
• Hands-on experience with:
  EC2, RDS, IAM, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ELB.
• Basic understanding of Docker, Terraform, and Kubernetes (ECS/EKS).
• Strong experience with Linux/Unix and scripting (Bash/Python).
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Must be available for US shift (night hours).

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Associate-level certification.
• Experience with CI/CD, automation tools, and additional AWS services like ElastiCache, CloudFormation, SNS, SQS, etc.
