Job Overview
As a Software Engineer I, you will build advanced data pipelines and scalable backend services supporting Yum!’s AI-driven growth initiatives. Working in Gurugram, you’ll collaborate with cross-brand teams to optimize data integration frameworks, cloud services, and modern software architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines (batch and streaming) using PySpark, Airflow, and Kubernetes
• Build robust backend services and REST APIs in Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django)
• Integrate data from POS, operational systems into a unified Global Data Hub
• Collaborate with KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and Habit Burger teams to deliver innovative data solutions
• Manage cloud services and infrastructure on AWS (EKS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway)
• Implement production support processes around data quality, lifecycle, and automation

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in data engineering or software development roles
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL (Snowflake knowledge a plus)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS services
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools like Informatica, Matillion, or DBT
• Knowledge of streaming technologies such as Kafka or Pulsar
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Elasticsearch
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
