Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure deployment, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of applications. You will work closely with the development team to streamline deployment processes and optimize application performance in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

CI/CD Management

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment.
• Configure and manage CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Establish best practices for continuous integration and delivery workflows.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth code deployment.
• Monitor and troubleshoot pipelines for efficient software delivery.

Infrastructure & Cloud Management

• Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Configure and maintain cloud resources such as compute, storage, networking, and databases.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization while managing costs efficiently.
• Implement containerization solutions using Docker.

Scripting & Automation

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Create tools to enhance development workflows and operational efficiency.
• Automate routine tasks and system monitoring to improve system performance.

Database Reporting & Management

• Write scripts to extract data from production databases for reporting purposes.
• Automate the generation of business reports using database data.
• Set up ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines for reporting databases.
• Optimize database queries for efficient data retrieval without impacting production performance.
• Automate the distribution of reports to relevant stakeholders.

System Reliability & Monitoring

• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions for system health.
• Ensure high availability and optimal performance of production systems.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance optimization.
• Lead incident response efforts and conduct postmortem analysis to improve system resilience.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
• Strong expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS preferred).
• Understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure best practices.
• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with monitoring tools for system observability.
• Knowledge of database administration and optimization (MongoDB preferred).
• Familiarity with configuration management tools.
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Cloud certifications (AWS preferred).
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Basic knowledge of web development technologies.
• Familiarity with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js).
