Role Overview:

The Technology Internship Program at Wabtec provides college students with an opportunity to contribute to real-time industrial product development. The internship focuses on gaining hands-on experience in mechanical design, product validation, and various engineering techniques under the guidance of an assigned mentor.

Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical designs, analysis, and validation of subsystems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various engineering tasks.
• Propose and implement new design techniques and methodologies.
• Use design tools such as Ansys, ADAMS, FEMFAT, GT Power, and more.
• Conduct stress analysis, vehicle dynamics, and engine performance optimization.
• Utilize in-house test labs for product validation and instrumentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or allied fields.
• Specialization in Structures, Dynamics, Thermal/Fluid Systems, IC Engines, Tribology, Material Science, or Manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
