Role Description

As a DevOps Engineer Intern, you will collaborate across multiple product teams and work closely with product heads. Your responsibilities include designing and managing Infrastructure as Code, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the availability, scalability, and performance of cloud systems.

You will also contribute occasionally to basic full-stack development tasks in both frontend and backend areas as needed.

This role offers an opportunity to work on modern DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, and software engineering workflows in a remote setup.

Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps

• Manage, provision, secure, and scale AWS resources including ECS Fargate, EC2, and RDS.
• Build and manage production-grade containerized environments using Docker.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline.
• Perform routine server maintenance, troubleshooting, patching, and ensure high system uptime.

Code Management & Version Control

• Advanced proficiency in Git and GitHub for code merging, conflict resolution, and branching strategies.
• Implement and enforce branching workflows such as Gitflow.
• Manage end-to-end release processes ensuring stability and consistency.

Full-Stack Development (As Needed)

• Backend: Strong experience with Node.js for services, APIs, and automation scripts.
• Frontend: Proficiency with React.js to maintain and debug admin dashboards and internal tools.
• Database: Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL for schema changes, data migrations, and query optimization.

Bonus Skills

• Experience working with React Native, especially for mobile app-related use cases.
