Job Overview

As a Systems Engineer, you will provide advanced-level IT support beyond L1/L2 engineers, focusing on data center infrastructure, servers, storage, virtualization, and backup solutions.

This role requires expertise in managing Windows/Linux servers, VMware infrastructure, enterprise applications, storage systems, and IT asset tracking to ensure stability, performance, and reliability of IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex end-user issues escalated from L1/L2 support.
• Manage and maintain server hardware (installation, upgrades, vendor coordination).
• Administer and optimize Windows & Linux operating systems for servers and desktops.
• Maintain and troubleshoot VMware (ESXi, vCenter, virtual networking).
• Support enterprise applications such as Office 365, Empower, NuGenesis, LMS.
• Manage backup solutions (Commvault, Veeam, NetBackup).
• Provision and maintain enterprise storage systems (NetApp, Hitachi, Dell EMC).
• Configure and support file/print servers with performance tuning and access control.
• Maintain IT asset & inventory records including AMC and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate across teams and adapt to evolving technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in systems administration, virtualization, storage & backup.
• Knowledge of ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
• Hands-on with ServiceNow for IT service management.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
