Role: Junior Cloud Security Validation Engineer

Location: India (Remote / Hybrid)

Upwind is seeking a Junior Cloud Security Validation Engineer to join its global engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for aspiring engineers passionate about cloud security, automation, and DevSecOps. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers to test, validate, and improve security for next-gen cloud-native infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate automation scripts in Python for cloud and container security testing.
• Build and test eBPF-based validation hooks for kernel-level observability and runtime behavior.
• Deploy, configure, and test security sensors and agents across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
• Collaborate in CI/CD environments for continuous integration and validation.
• Conduct real-time cloud security analysis, identifying vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and performance gaps.
• Work closely with DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless and secure deployments.

Required Skills

• Strong fundamentals in Linux, Networking, and Python scripting.
• Working knowledge of cloud services like EC2, VPC, and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to Docker, Terraform, Grafana, and containerized environments.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures and security best practices.
• Excellent debugging and documentation skills.
• Eagerness to learn eBPF, Kubernetes security, and cloud automation.
