Job Description
Upland Software is seeking a dynamic and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Operations Team. The ideal candidate will manage and monitor a wide range of cloud applications, ensuring operational efficiency, scalability, and reliability. You will actively contribute to technical discussions and solutions related to SaaS technologies and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automate manual tasks to improve performance and reliability
• Build, install, and configure servers in both physical and virtual environments
• Participate in on-call rotation for customer-facing applications
• Monitor and optimize system performance, proactively preventing issues
• Manage Incident, Change, Problem, and Project Management programs
• Provide guidance to technical and business teams on tactical and strategic improvements
• Create and maintain infrastructure documentation and system configurations
• Serve as an escalation point for internal support staff

Skills and Experience Required:

• 7-9 years of experience in DevOps, specifically with AWS, GitHub/Bitbucket, CI/CD, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Grafana, and Prometheus
• Expertise with AWS solutions, including VPC, Route53, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail
• Strong Linux-based web hosting, load balancing, and database management skills
• CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins
• Kubernetes (EKS), Docker administration, and ECS
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Monitoring and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, and PagerDuty
• Strong experience with scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Go
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work under remote supervision

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with legacy application modernization and deployment process improvements
• Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer focusing on AWS
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of problems
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical teams
