Job Description

UnitedLayer is a pioneering provider of private cloud solutions, helping businesses manage public, private, and hybrid cloud environments with our unified platform. We are looking for a Use Case Engineer – DevOps to develop and implement real-world use cases that showcase the power of our platform. You will work closely with engineering, product management, and customer teams to create automation workflows, deployment templates, and operational runbooks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement use cases for our multi-cloud platform, focusing on automation, monitoring, and governance.
• Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to demonstrate platform capabilities.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment across AWS, Azure, GCP, and private cloud environments.
• Implement cloud-native architectures using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate use cases into product demos and customer solutions.
• Ensure cloud security best practices are followed in all implementations.
• Optimize cloud performance and cost through automation and governance policies.
• Create technical documentation, tutorials, and internal knowledge base for use cases.
• Stay updated with industry trends, DevOps best practices, and emerging cloud technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong DevOps background with expertise in cloud automation and infrastructure as code.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, and private cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Pulumi for infrastructure automation.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and containerized deployments.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices, governance, and compliance.
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.).
• Ability to design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with multi-cloud networking and hybrid cloud setups.
• Understanding of FinOps (Cloud cost optimization strategies).
• Exposure to AI/ML in DevOps and AIOps tools.
