Job Description:

UBS is hiring an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their global Compute Platform team. This role is part of the IaaS Engineering group, focusing on developing and maintaining next-gen infrastructure solutions for UBS’s enterprise-grade computing platforms.

You’ll collaborate with distributed teams worldwide to deliver scalable, cost-efficient, and automated infrastructure-as-a-service environments using modern tools, including Azure, PowerShell, YAML, and API-based automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement enterprise-scale IaaS platforms with a focus on automation and scalability
• Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions for internal clients
• Write high-quality technical documentation, including runbooks and staging guides
• Develop scripts and automation in Azure-related tools (ARM, YAML, PowerShell)
• Work with vendors like HPE, Dell, Lenovo, VMware (ESXi), and Microsoft Hyper-V
• Participate in full SDLC processes including testing, code reviews, and production deployment
• Collaborate across OS, DB, Middleware, and Cloud teams to integrate and improve IaaS tooling
• Ensure infrastructure observability and operational readiness of deployments

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience with HPE, Dell, Lenovo hardware platforms and ESXi / Hyper-V hypervisors
• Solid hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure and scripting languages
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – YAML, ARM templates, PowerShell
• Familiarity with SDLC, DevOps practices, and global engineering collaboration
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Eagerness to work in a globally distributed agile team
