About the Role
Uber's Developer Platform team builds the technical foundation for engineers to develop the future of mobility. You will help deliver centralized solutions that streamline every part of the development lifecycle—from writing the first line of code to shipping software to production.
As a hands-on engineer, you will build and promote next-generation developer productivity tools, working across Uber’s products with impact on company-wide technical roadmaps.
What You'll Do
- Write high-quality, reliable, readable, efficient, testable code
- Provide code reviews and contribute to quality documentation
- Create comprehensive tests
- Monitor product quality and diagnose production issues
- Participate in on-call rotations and production incident troubleshooting
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (graduation between July 2024 – Feb 2025)
- 3+ months of software engineering experience via internships, projects, coursework, or training
- Strong experience with Java or Go
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
- Passion for learning and delivering high-impact features
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in building distributed systems
- Clean, efficient, and well-documented coding practices
- Experience debugging and improving performance in complex systems
