Cloud Application Administrator | Transact+CBORD | Chennai, India (Remote) | Full-Time

Transact+CBORD is seeking a skilled Cloud Application Administrator to join our global team. We specialize in innovative payment, mobile credential, and commerce solutions for connected campuses, supporting over 1,750 higher education institutions worldwide. This role focuses on managing, automating, and optimizing cloud applications with a strong emphasis on AWS Cloud, PaaS, CI/CD pipelines, and 24x7 production support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage cloud application availability, performance, and uptime to meet 99.9% SLA standards.
  • Deploy updates and patches to internal applications, third-party tools, and operating systems.
  • Implement environment updates based on business and client requirements.
  • Configure applications to meet client-specific needs and maintain operational consistency.
  • Perform user account management for designated resources in line with internal policies.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotations for production support.
  • Manage vendor support cases to resolve incidents and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.
  • Ensure managed cloud environments comply with Transact's Information Security Policy, SOC 2 Type II, and PCI Level 1 standards.
  • Automate routine operational tasks, monitoring, notifications, and error recovery using scripting and CI/CD tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (1–2 years in Networking, Cybersecurity, or IT Infrastructure).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud platforms, with a focus on PaaS and Cloud-Native offerings.
  • Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Scripting proficiency in PowerShell or Bash for automation tasks.
  • Experience supporting 24x7 production services and troubleshooting critical incidents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate in team environments.
  • Desire to continuously learn and expand cloud and DevOps expertise.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
  • Understanding of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Exposure to production-grade cloud operations, monitoring tools, and automated incident resolution.
