Job Summary
ThoughtSol Infotech Pvt. Ltd is hiring a Deskside Support Engineer to join its IT team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of one year of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure support, including Windows/macOS systems, basic network troubleshooting, and end-user desktop support.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and macOS systems.
• Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral hardware issues.
• Install, update, and patch software and security tools.
• Provide support for Microsoft 365 apps: Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
• Assist with system provisioning via Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
• Manage users and permissions through Active Directory.
• Assist in system upgrades, data migrations, and backups.
• Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity issues.
• Provide basic support for routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Configure IP addresses and setup network printers.
• Monitor and maintain on-site network performance.
• Respond to IT support tickets promptly and effectively.
• Maintain documentation of issues, resolutions, and IT procedures.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and IT best practices.
• Track and manage IT assets and maintain location-based inventory.

Preferred Skills

• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of Layer 2 Switches and Firewall configurations.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Freshservice, JIRA).
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and prioritize tasks effectively.
