Role Overview

Heuristic Sol is seeking an enthusiastic Junior DevOps / Cloud Engineer eager to develop expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). This role is ideal for early-career professionals looking to strengthen their foundation in GCP, Microsoft Azure, Terraform, Docker, Linux, and CI/CD practices while contributing to scalable engineering projects.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers, support cloud deployments, and help maintain secure, high-performing environments.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure

• Support deployments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure.
• Work with services such as Cloud Run, Virtual Machines, and VPC Networking.
• Assist in optimizing databases including MySQL.

Automation & DevOps

• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Support containerized deployments with Docker.
• Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

System Administration & Security

• Work with Linux-based environments.
• Support IAM roles, networking, and cloud security practices.
• Monitor infrastructure and help troubleshoot system issues.

Scripting & Development

• Write basic scripts using Bash, Python, or Go to automate workflows.
• Collaborate with teams to improve deployment efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on exposure to GCP or Microsoft Azure.
• Understanding of Cloud Run, VPC networking, virtual machines, and database optimization.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Docker, Linux, and CI/CD concepts.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, or Go).
• Understanding of IAM, networking, and cloud security fundamentals.
• Strong willingness to learn in a fast-paced engineering environment.
