Job Description
At Thales, we harness technology to build secure, sustainable, and inclusive systems powered by human intelligence. Join our Perth Digital Competence Center (DCC) as a Software Engineer working on critical systems across Land, Sea, Air, and Space domains.
You will be involved throughout the Software Development Lifecycle—design, implementation, testing, and deployment—using diverse tech stacks including Java, SQL Server, NodeJS (Typescript), Angular, and cloud technologies.
Key Knowledge and Experience
- Software development methodologies, architecture, and best practices
- Proficiency in Java and familiarity with other languages/frameworks (C#, C/C++, Python, HTML, CSS, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL)
Desirable:
- UI and UX design
- DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Containerization (Docker/Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Cloud solution deployment and orchestration
- Full-stack development
- Databases (SQL or NoSQL)
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related discipline
- Australian Citizenship and eligibility for security clearance
