Overview

TEK ANALYTIX is hiring an Application Support Engineer – Cloud with 2–4 years of experience for its Pune location. This role involves supporting large-scale, cloud-hosted applications, troubleshooting high-severity issues, implementing automation, enhancing monitoring capabilities, and working closely with DevOps and Engineering teams.
The position is full-time and requires flexibility to work in a 24×7 shift environment.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Participate in “eyes on glass monitoring”, alert response, and Incident Management.
  • Provide technical support for complex, cloud-hosted applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve high-severity, multi-system issues.
  • Perform application maintenance, patching, upgrades, and deployment support.
  • Monitor daily data processing workflows and fix operational failures.
  • Build and enhance monitoring and alerting tools.
  • Contribute to automation using Ansible, Python, Perl, or other scripting tools.
  • Assist in setting up and securing new application environments and instances.
  • Participate in change management, including deployment and rollback planning.
  • Create and maintain a knowledge base for technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain deployment scripts for UAT and Production.
  • Optimize application and web server configurations for performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Infrastructure, and Professional Services teams.
  • Develop internal tools to improve support efficiency.
  • Provide clear, timely updates during critical incidents.
  • Work in 24×7 shifts, including on-call rotations.

Have You Got What It Takes? (Required Skills)

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
  • 1–1.5 years of relevant experience in Application Support (Tier-2/Tier-3).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience handling complex application performance issues.
  • Background in DevOps, Infrastructure Operations, or Application Operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • OS-level knowledge: Windows, Linux, or Unix.
  • Database experience: SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra.
  • Experience with Application Servers: Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, or similar.
  • Good understanding of Networking and Load Balancers.
  • Exposure to scripting: Ansible, Perl, Python, Ruby, Shell Script, PowerShell.
  • Experience with tools like OpsGenie, Nagios, Rundeck.

You’ll Have an Advantage If You Also Have

  • Experience with AWS portal and cloud services.
  • Experience in Banking / Financial domain.
  • Strong SQL querying skills.
  • Hands-on experience configuring monitoring and dashboards: Grafana, Kibana, etc.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change Management).
