Overview

The Cloud Operations Intern will support the EIT/Digital Infrastructure department in managing AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms for the Public Cloud Operations and Infrastructure Team.

This hybrid role requires at least 2 days in the Knoxville office each week. Candidates must be currently enrolled in a degree program, recent graduates, or pursuing industry-standard cloud certifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Cloud Engineers, Systems Administrators, Software Developers, and Security Engineers.
• Assist in designing and implementing controls to restrict/limit AWS cloud services deployment.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to improve efficiency and scalability in cloud operations.
• Help monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and support cloud environments.
• Create and maintain clear documentation for projects, processes, and solutions.
• Assist in cleaning up unused resources, services, IAM identities, and roles in public cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or working toward industry certifications).
• Strong customer service mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong computer skills (MS Office, email, internet, spreadsheets).
• Foundational knowledge of Cloud Computing concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP).
