The Role

StackBlitz is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure that powers decision-making and operations. This is a high-impact role in a remote-first company, offering opportunities to lead key initiatives and shape the future of the data platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain ETL processes to ensure data is accessible, accurate, and up-to-date.
• Build and optimize data workflows and pipelines, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Develop and manage data models that support analytics and reporting needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and best practices.
• Leverage tools like dbt and Snowflake (preferred) to enhance data infrastructure and performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.

How You’ll Contribute

• Build robust ETL processes to ensure data is accurate and timely across the organization.
• Drive the design and implementation of scalable data workflows and pipelines.
• Develop and maintain data models for analytics, reporting, and decision-making.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to align data systems with organizational goals.
• Enhance data infrastructure performance using tools like dbt and Snowflake (preferred).
• Provide guidance and mentorship on data best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with expertise in ETL development and data workflows.
• Proficiency with dbt and Snowflake is a strong plus.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing principles.
• Familiarity with building scalable, automated workflows for large datasets.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on efficiency and optimization.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience in cross-functional teams.
