About the Team
The Intralinks SRE team acts as the guardian of the production application platform, ensuring uninterrupted service to Intralinks’ clients. This global team continuously enhances platform monitoring and availability.

Role Overview
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will support R&D with root cause analysis, manage operational tasks, and automate monitoring and alerting to minimize Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve escalated incidents for customer issues or monitoring alerts.
• Conduct in-depth root cause analysis for incidents.
• Collaborate with R&D and architecture teams to address production defects and inefficiencies.
• Build diagnostic and analytical tools to improve MTTA, MTTD, and MTTR.
• Develop system and API monitoring tools to ensure smooth production operations.
• Configure and integrate commercial monitoring tools into production systems.
• Validate and verify software deliverables for production readiness.
• Assess and mitigate risks for production system changes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong experience with Unix/Linux environments.
• Proficient in Java-based web enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience and troubleshooting skills in Kubernetes systems.
• Expertise in microservices architecture with Kubernetes and container applications.
• Working knowledge of AWS services like CloudWatch, EKS, EFS, S3, and Redshift.
• Ability to troubleshoot AWS tools for resource constraints, connectivity, alerting, and monitoring.
• Solid understanding of at least one major programming language (Java preferred) and performance tuning.
• Scripting skills in Shell, Python, etc., for task automation.
• Basic networking knowledge and understanding of protocols (HTTP(s), TCP, UDP, JMS).
• Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, Zabbix, Prometheus.
• Familiarity with databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Knowledge of messaging subsystems such as RabbitMQ, Interconnect, AMQ.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and version control systems like Git.
