About the Role

Slice is looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join their tech team. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable microservices and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions for financial needs.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable microservices for a multi-tenant environment
• Balance functionality, performance, and maintainability
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and Analytics teams
• Deploy and maintain applications in a secure AWS environment
• Handle complete development cycle from ideation to maintenance
• Participate in hiring world-class programmers

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of server-side development experience
• Strong programming skills and API development experience
• Proficiency with frameworks like Express, Loopback, Hapi
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with test-driven development (Unit & API tests)
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Experience in containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Understanding of monitoring tools like Prometheus or Kibana
• Curiosity and passion for learning new technologies
• Strong sense of ownership and initiative
