Job Description

SISL Infotech is hiring a Linux Administrator L1 for its IT operations in Delhi (Chanakyapuri). This is a great opportunity for early-career professionals or freshers with hands-on Linux knowledge to step into a high-demand IT infrastructure role.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor Linux servers for health, availability, and performance metrics
• Troubleshoot basic Linux OS issues like disk usage, memory/cpu spikes, service failures
• Handle L1 support tickets and escalate as needed
• Perform routine maintenance, patch management, and backups
• Manage users, passwords, file permissions, and security policies
• Document standard procedures and configurations
• Collaborate with senior IT teams to ensure system reliability
• Follow organizational compliance and security protocols
• Gain exposure to shell scripting, cron jobs, firewalls, and Linux hardening practices

✅ Requirements

• 1.5+ years of hands-on experience in Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu, or CentOS)
• Strong understanding of Linux CLI tools, file system hierarchy, permissions
• Familiarity with basic networking commands and troubleshooting
• Understanding of ITIL ticketing tools, monitoring dashboards (Nagios/Zabbix)
• Good problem-solving mindset, documentation skills, and a team-player attitude
• Optional but a plus: Knowledge of Bash scripting, SSH, firewalls, crontab, LVM
